Limited Warranty
Limited Warranty for Interior and Exterior Painting Services
Effective Date: Begins after the completion of the project and only active after the payment of invoice.
1. Overview
A PLUS PAINTING LLC ("Contractor") provides this Limited Warranty ("Warranty") to the customer named in the proposal ("Customer"). This Warranty covers defects in workmanship for the services specified in the original contract. The purpose of this Warranty is to provide clarity and protection for both parties.
2. Warranty Coverage
2.1 Interior Workmanship Warranty — 3 Years
The Contractor warrants that interior painted surfaces will be free from peeling, blistering, or chipping caused by defective workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the completion date.
2.2 Exterior Workmanship Warranty — 1 Year
The Contractor warrants that exterior painted surfaces will be free from peeling or blistering caused by defective workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the completion date. This warranty excludes all decks and fences.
3. What Is Covered
This Warranty covers issues directly resulting from:

Improper surface preparation performed by the Contractor

Incorrect application of paint or coatings
-
Use of materials not meeting industry standards
-
Work performed in a manner inconsistent with trade practices
If a covered defect occurs, the Contractor will provide labor and materials to correct the affected areas.
4. What Is Not Covered
This Warranty does not cover defects or damage resulting from:

Normal wear and tear, fading, or weathering
-
Acts of God (e.g., storms, flooding, lightning, high winds)
-
Structural issues (e.g., settling, shifting, moisture intrusion)
-
Mold, mildew, rot, or water damage from sources outside the Contractor's control
-
Paint failures caused by previous coatings not applied by the Contractor
-
Customer negligence, misuse, or lack of maintenance
-
Damage caused by abrasion, impact, or chemicals
-
Work for which the Customer supplies materials
-
Surfaces not recommended for painting or surfaces previously coated with incompatible products
-
Repairs to areas the Contractor advised would not hold a long-term finish (e.g., moisture-damaged drywall, failing substrates)
5. Customer Responsibilities
To maintain warranty eligibility, the Customer must:

Pay the contract in full

Provide reasonable access for inspection or repairs
-
Notify the Contractor in writing of any defect within 10 days of discovery
6. Warranty Claim Procedure

Customer must submit a claim via email or written letter.

Contractor will inspect the reported issue within 14–30 days.

If the issue is covered, Contractor will schedule repairs during normal business hours.

Repairs are limited to the specific affected area. Color or sheen matching may not be exact due to normal aging.
7. Limits and Exclusions

This Warranty is the Customer’s sole remedy.

Contractor is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages.

Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original Customer and project address.

This Warranty does not extend the original warranty period if repairs are made.
8. Voiding of Warranty
Warranty may be void if:
-
The Customer alters, repairs, or hires another contractor to work on the painted surfaces before the Contractor inspects and approves

Moisture, plumbing leaks, roof failures, or other environmental conditions compromise the substrate
